Everything a visitor should know before they trust a number on this site.
Not a government agency
USA Health Savings is a privately operated, independent insurance brokerage. This site is not the Health Insurance Marketplace, healthcare.gov, or a state exchange. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the federal government, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Medicare, Medicaid, or any state agency. For official Marketplace information, go directly to healthcare.gov or your state's exchange.
Not an insurance carrier
We do not underwrite, issue, or pay claims. Licensed carriers do. We help you compare what they offer and an advisor handles the plan conversation.
Not a rate, not an application
Submitting the form starts a review with a licensed advisor. It does not generate a rate, an estimate, an offer of coverage, an automated plan match, or a determination of eligibility, and it does not bind coverage. Only a carrier, after underwriting, decides what you are offered.
About the figures on this site
The $750 and $300 monthly figures, the deductible and out-of-pocket ranges in the comparison table, and the ranges shown in the savings explorer show how plans tend to differ. They are not your rate and not an offer. Actual premiums, deductibles, copays, networks and benefits vary by age, location, household, health history, carrier and the specific plan selected.
No savings amount is guaranteed. Some households will pay more with private coverage than with a subsidized Marketplace plan, and we will say so on the call when that is the case.
Medical underwriting
The private PPO plans discussed on this site are medically underwritten. Acceptance is not guaranteed. Health history affects whether you are approved, what you pay, and whether specific conditions are excluded or subject to a waiting period. These plans are not ACA-qualified health plans and are not required to cover the ten essential health benefits. Read the plan documents before you enroll.
Coverage mandates in some states
A small number of states — including Massachusetts, New Jersey, California, Rhode Island and the District of Columbia — have their own individual coverage requirements with their own definitions of qualifying coverage. If you live in one of them, that affects whether a given plan makes sense for you, and an advisor will raise it.
How we are paid
Our service costs you nothing, and a plan's price is the same whether you buy it through an advisor or directly from the carrier. When someone enrolls, the carrier pays the brokerage a commission. That is the entire business model, and we state it plainly so you can weigh it.
Licensing
Coverage is offered through licensed insurance agents. Availability varies by state and not every plan is available in every state.
Your information
Your details go to one licensed advisor. They are not sold to third parties or distributed to a lead pool. See our Privacy Policy and Do Not Sell My Info.
